The court will issue a warrant when:
- The defendant has violated a promise to appear on the citation;
- The defendant has failed to comply with the orders of a judge;
- The defendant did not complete a payment plan or failed to make payments as promised.
If warrants have been issued for an arrest, the person for whom the warrant was issued may contact the court for the amount owed. If the defendant's citations have been placed in warrant status for lack of payment, the defendant must pay 50 % of the total amount owed to have the warrants recalled. If unable to pay the amount necessary for recall, the defendant should contact the Judge to discuss options to have the warrants recalled.
